Chiropractic is a natural form of healthcare which uses light force adjusting to correct misalignments of the bones in the body. The spine and extremities can have misalignments, also known as subluxations, causing the central nervous system to not function at an optimal level. By removing the interference with an adjustment, the body is capable of healing on its own.
What is applied kinesiology?
Applied kinesiology (AK) involves an analysis of the body by using manual muscle testing to determine neurological weaknesses within the body. AK examines body function via the musculoskeletal system and determines what the next step for the patient may be. Treatments include: spinal and extremity adjusting, myofascial therapies, cranial techniques, dietary management, and reflex procedures.
The Triad of Health illustrates the three main causes of concern: structural, chemical, and mental. One or all parts can be affected when a certain problem arises. Each side is evaluated, leading the doctor to find the root cause of the problem. AK skills are developed and approved by the International College of Applied Kinesiology Board of Standards.
